Orthopedic and Neurological


We offer intensive rehabilitation for patients after orthopedic surgery or for patients with neurological conditions. All treatments are tailored by physician specializing in rehabilitation.

Patient Assessment:

The patient is assessed for functional rehabilitation by a physician and by physiotherapists.
The assessment focuses on:

  • Ability to change body positions in space (sitting, getting up etc.)

  • Ability to maintain balance (Tinetti test)

  • Range of motion in individual joints (with goniometer)

  • Muscle strength (Lovett test)

  • Mobility, coordination and quality of the patient’s walk

Description of selected physiotherapeutic procedures:

Electrostimulation – therapy which uses low energy electrical pulses to artificially generate body movements in individuals who suffered an injury affecting part of the central nervous system. The therapy is used for muscle recovery by a way of inducing muscles contractions.

Exercises – the essence of the exercises is to give the physiotherapist a proper track for movement in particular joints.

Exercises improve the range of movement and muscle strength.

PNF – Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation can be both passive or active (voluntary muscle contraction), and aims at rebuilding normal motor functioning of the patient.

Active exercises (Thera – trainer tigo 538) – Equipment for passive and active movement of lower and upper limbs with biofeedback and symmetry training. Performing exercises on our stationary bike allows patients to control the strength of the individual limbs.

Active exercises in unloading – exercises designed to relieve the load of a given section of the body by means of suspension.

Isometric Exercises – exercises designed to stretch the muscle, or muscle group, without performing active movements in the joints.
